ABSTRACT
Food Security is the situation in which access to food for all is secured. It can also be the condition under which nutritious and safe food is guaranteed. In realizing the security of a person in the globalized world, realizing food security is of utmost importance. In the globalized world with the integration of markets and economy, food of different countries is transferred with much ease. This has created both good and bad impacts on the life of people. There is nutritious and dietary transition in the food habits of individuals. National and international authorities have made measures to guarantee that everyone had access to appropriate food security. Corporate globalization helped the opening up of markets thus developing nations are shifted to more export- based approach with the low cost of production and food subsidies. This article examines the emergence of the human right to food and nutrition protection as a foundation for public health, focusing on its establishment under the Indian Constitution, International law, national policy enforcement, and transparency through treaty bodies in the wake of globalization. The authors also made an attempt to analyze a case of vegetable oil to study the impact of globalization on food security. The authors will conclude the paper by stressing the importance of food and nutrition protection to human dignity, the very basis of human rights and security, and the possibilities that a human rights-based approach provides to improve the lives of vulnerable people in a rapidly evolving world, by focusing on the creation and implementation of a human right to food and nutrition security.
