ABSTRACT


The main objective of this research paper is to examine the failure of penal policy with context of V.K. Shashikala case and the allegations of getting VIP TREATMENT IN JAIL. The paper aims to analyse the reasons behind the failure of penal policy in preventing preferential treatment and corruption in prisons, as well as the impact of such failures on the justice system and society as a whole. By examining the case of V.K. Shashikala, this research paper seeks to contribute to a better understanding of the challenges and complexities involved in implementing penal policies and promoting transparency and accountability in the criminal justice system.
