ABSTRACT
In the dynamic interplay between technological advancement and legal evolution, the advent of artificial intelligence (AI) poses novel and significant challenges to the traditional paradigms of privacy law. This paper delves into the intricate relationship between AI technologies and privacy rights, scrutinizing how the pervasive use of AI in various sectors exacerbates concerns surrounding data privacy, consent, and surveillance. Through a comprehensive analysis, it explores the adequacy of existing legal frameworks in safeguarding privacy in the face of rapid technological innovation, highlighting the gaps and inadequacies that AI introduces to privacy protection and data governance. By adopting an interdisciplinary approach, the study critically examines the intersection of technology, law, and ethics, proposing a nuanced legal and policy framework that anticipates the evolving landscape of AI applications. The aim is to contribute to the ongoing discourse on privacy and technology, advocating for proactive legal reforms that ensure robust privacy protections while accommodating the growth and societal benefits of AI. This paper seeks not only to map the current terrain of privacy law in the digital age but also to chart a course for future legal and policy developments in the era of artificial intelligence.
