Evolution Of Corporate Governance In The US

Saket Jain, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies

ABSTRACT

The evolution of corporate governance in the US has been shaped by regulatory changes, shareholder activism, and corporate scandals. There has been increasing focus on transparency, accountability, and sustainability, with a growing emphasis on ESG issues and the importance of diverse and independent boards of directors. Looking ahead, companies need to prioritize ESG issues, diversity, and independence on their boards, and embrace new technologies while being mindful of potential risks and challenges.
