ABSTRACT

The term corporate social responsibility (CSR) is in demand across the world. Integration of CSR in business is one of the major issues that businesses confront in the modern globalized world. Stakeholders expect a great deal more from businesses than just growth and profitability. In India and other developing nations, CSR has made significant progress. Corporates have amply demonstrated their capacity to significantly impact society and raise the standard of living through responsive actions and sustainable initiatives. This research focuses on the concept of CSR and its applicability in developing economies, particularly in India. This paper will also throw some light on the concept of environmental corporate social responsibility (ECSR). This paper will provide an overview of marketing firms’ compliance with social responsibility and ethical behavior in India. This paper focused on The Companies Act 2013 and the provisions related to Corporate Social Responsibility. This paper also emphasizes issues and challenges associated with CSR. The study`s primary focus will be on moral and environmental guidelines that highly successful businesses like Infosys follow.
