ABSTRACT

The twenty-first century marks the emergence of technological era. Human life is surrounded and aided everyday with enormous amount of technological advancement. Digital space and digital world again recounts as one of the greatest innovations. It forms a major part of our everyday life, interaction and occurrences. Every tweet, every post and every tap on your screen commutes your interaction. This cyber world is a facet of the evolving artificial intelligence technology. Such applications and software’s works on various algorithms propounded on artificial intelligence. With the aid of artificial intelligence cyber space is capable of analysing and assessing anyone’s everyday life and compile data and personal information about that person. From unlocking your phone screen to window-shopping, every kind of data is compiled by artificial intelligence and can be used anytime in any manner. Artificial intelligence has become an integral part of our life. But the real question is whether it is reliable or not. Today anyone’s personal data forms a part of their identity and online financial transactions have furthermore made the data vulnerable. In such scenario outbreak of data or breech of data privacy can be highly detrimental to any individual. Data protection had always been a priority on international level and many laws has been stipulated over the subject. This research endeavour is an arduous attempt to study the European Union’s General Data Protection Rules and how they redefine the contours of this coming of the age artificial intelligence technology to prevent data privacy breach.
