Samridhi Sharma, High School Student (Dikshant International School)

ABSTRACT

The intricacies of right-to-die laws are the center of this study's thorough examination of ethical dilemma in end-of-life decision-making. The study looks at how religious and cultural views affect people's views on euthanasia and end-of-life decisions. The study delves into the complex relationship between personal autonomy, society values, and state interests in deciding the morality and legality of end-of-life decisions by carefully reviewing legislation, case law, legal literature, and secondary data sources. To further understand how right-to-die legislation works in practice, the research also examines precedents and case laws. The research seeks to enhance our comprehension of the intricacies involved in end-of-life decision-making by conducting a critical analysis of the ethical principles and practical consequences of current legislation and legal precedents. By shedding light on the current legal climate surrounding right-to-die laws and encouraging serious discussion about the ethical aspects of end-of-life care, this study is an invaluable resource for lawmakers, healthcare providers, legal experts, and the general public.
