Essential Condition Of Valid Marriages As Per Hindu Laws

ABSTRACT:


This paper substantially focuses on Hindu marriage and legal connubiality. It starts with the generalities and rudiments of Hindu marriage in India. Legal marriage is valid only if the marriage takes places with the fulfilment of the valid rudiments under Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 which varies in each religion. The paper deals with the conditions which will determine whether a marriage is valid or void. The ideal of the study is to analysis the conditions of valid marriage under Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. The paper also explains the emergence of codification of Hindu marriage. The paper generally highlights section 5, section 7, section 17 and section 18 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. It eventually concludes with nature and validity of Hindu marriage.
