Essence Of Corporate Governance In The Banking Sector In India

ABSTRACT

The concept of Corporate Governance has been one of the major topics of discussion in the era of globalization and liberalization. Post 1991 economic reforms, India has seen a gradual growth in corporate governance norms. It has become an important part of a corporation to have good governance standards. The concept of corporate governance is not only restricted in companies but it has become an important part of the banking sector. This article is about the corporate governance in banks in India and how it is regulated by the RBI. The article discusses the various aspects of the corporate governance in Indian banks and its evolution.
