Judith Melbha S, Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai

ABSTRACT

Technology transfer has emerged to be an important factor in the developing economy for big corporates, startups and in many different sectors. As many innovations are being created in the global economy on a day-to-day basis, it helps in shaping the technologies, which further leads to creation of more knowledge and development in economy. this rapid growth in technology helps the organisations to do business around the world. As innovations are growing every day all around the globe, there are more risks that those new inventions can be infringed by the potential infringers. The infringers have also advantage over this, until the act has been restricted by the actual inventors. Thus, IPR pays a vital role in protecting these inventions and helps in diffusing of technology, thereby helps the developing countries to invent more. The flexibility in the TRIPS benefits the development of countries at various levels.
