ABSTRACT

This article portrays the importance of domicile of a country. Domicile plays a very important role as a connector between a personal and a sovereign state. Domicile comes to aid if there is any conflicting situation. When a person resides permanently in a country without an intention to move out, he is deemed to have a home in such country. A person’s permanent home does not cease just because he stays elsewhere temporarily.

Domicile of origin is unbreakable. Domicile of origin will always be in the background even when a person has acquired a domicile of choice. It comes forward and fills the gaps when domicile of choice is abandoned by the person at a later stage. Domicile of origin is acquired by every individual at birth and it stays with the person for life.

Thus it is very important to understand the perception of domicile under private international Law. A brief analysis of Domicile of independent person is given in this article.
