ABSTRACT
Drone rules which came into effect from August 2021 is a major policy shift towards liberalization as compared to the previous rules in 2018, 2020 and March 2021. The drones are not difficult to be owned and operated but a technology which is capable of surveillance and being used as carrier not become a tool which affects the life and privacy of people. The rules and regulations need to be stricter in this regard. unlike stationary cameras, Drones or unmanned aerial vehicles are portable and are equipped with high powered cameras with night vision that can stay aloft and keep surveillance of huge areas, it uses radar technologies which can penetrate walls and surveil people within their homes. Such surveillance is a violation of the fundamental right. The right to privacy and the right to life and liberty is recognized as a fundamental right of a person under article 21 of The Constitution of India. Every individual has a right to live, which is their fundamental right.
