Snija D, B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons), Tamilnadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University

ABSTRACT

The digitalization of government services has marked a significant shift in India’s public administration, offering improved accessibility, efficiency, and transparency. However, the rapid adoption of digital platforms also raises critical challenges, including data privacy concerns, cyber security risks, and the digital divide that threatens to exclude marginalized communities. This article explores the role of administrative law in regulating this transformation, examining current legal frameworks and their ability to ensure accountability. Through case studies of successful initiatives like Aadhaar and the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN), and discussions of future trends such as block chain and AI, the article provides insights into the evolving landscape of e-governance. It also addresses potential legal reforms to ensure inclusivity, security, and sustained public trust in digital services.
