ABSTRACT

Arbitration is an increasingly popular alternative dispute resolution (ADR) method, offering a pathway to resolve conflicts outside of traditional court systems. This guide explores the concept of arbitration, its procedures, and its advantages and limitations in resolving disputes. The process is often faster, more confidential, and less costly than litigation, making it an attractive option for businesses and individuals alike. The paper provides an overview of how arbitration works, the roles of arbitrators, and the types of cases that can be resolved through this method. Additionally, it addresses the potential challenges and criticisms of arbitration, such as concerns over fairness and limited avenues for appeal. Ultimately, the guide aims to demystify the arbitration process and clarify its growing role as an effective means of dispute resolution in various legal and commercial contexts.
