The food has not changed, but how it is made has been modified, and the world has witnessed this change. As it is a millennial period, technology plays a vital role in everyone’s life, and the recent penetration of this development in the food sector was the involvement of technology to make the food close to the customers. As technology increases, life has become more accessible and more convenient. Like how nutrition plays an important role, technology also plays an essential role. Similarly, Online shopping has become an integral part of one’s life, where one can buy everything without going to a shop. Likewise, online food retailing has emerged, where people can order food by staying in their homes, and delivery agents will deliver the food to their doorstep. This was first evolved in the year of 1995 in The United States of America. They practiced the concept of providing food to the customer’s doorstep. During this year, the restaurant introduced this concept of delivering food at just a call, and World Wide Waiter provides the service and continues as Waiter.Com. Following the service provided in the USA, many other countries like Europe, China, India, and Africa offer this online food retailing service. Moreover, in all these countries, some companies’ prominent role is to provide food at the doorstep by receiving food orders online, and those companies have created certain Apps for the same. Some of the commonly used Apps among the customers are Zomato, Swiggy, Uber Eats, etc., These companies will be providing the food to any corner of the world. This bridging through technology in the food sector makes livelihood more accessible and helps many small restaurants broaden their business market.
