Cyber Crime And Criminals: An Overview

ABSTRACT

Crime has also been linked to the history of humanity. Along with a civil society, crime has long been associated. Crimes have also evolved in response to changing times and circumstances. Cybercrime is a term that has recently come to the fore. Almost every nation-state in the world has enacted legislation to combat cybercrime. The advancement of technology and electronic information has resulted in the emergence of computer-related crimes, colloquially known as cybercrime. This paper discusses the common areas where cybercrime occurs and the various types of cybercrime committed today. The paper also includes research on email-related crimes, as email is the most common medium through which cybercrime occurs. Furthermore, some case studies concerning cybercrime are presented.
