Critical Analysis: Why Does One Crime Have A Set Of Different Punishments?

ABSTRACT

This Research Paper focuses on critically analysing why the same crime committed by different persons is met with different punishments and also to understand the various factors that are responsible for awarding different punishments for the same crime. Even though the Constitution of India bars the State from differentiating among its citizens yet every same crime committed by two different persons is met with a different punishments, why and how different yardstick of punishment are meted out for the same action will be understood through this Research Paper.
