Crimes By Women: A Conceptual Study With Review Of Literature

Tanaya Wageshwari, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law & Arts, RNB Global University, Bikaner

ABSTRACT

The crime rate in India has been on the rise in recent years, and women are increasingly becoming offenders of crime. This paper examines the nature and extent of crimes by women in India, and explores the extent to which these crimes concur with international initiatives to protect. The paper begins by providing an overview of the crime rate in India, with a specific focus on crimes by women. The paper finds that crimes by women in India are widespread and often go unreported. It also finds that the Indian government has taken some steps to address the issue of violence by women, but that more needs to be done. The paper concludes by making a number of recommendations for how to improve the protection of women's rights in India. This paper is an attempt to review the existing research literature on these concepts in India and at international level over the last few years.
