ABSTRACT:
This research criticizes about the rising crime rate in India with a focus on crimes against women. This study basically aims to shed light on the complexities that the surrounding is facing due to the rising rate of violence against women through a detailed analysis of historical trends, legal frameworks and socio- cultural factors. Based on the mixed methods, including the analysis of crime data and qualitative assessments, key trends, enabling factors and impacts on women's safety and social well-being are identified here.
The current research paper is Doctrinal in nature and analytical in approach. To analyse the research paper the primary sources include statutes and law commission reports. Secondary sources are articles, books, academic journals, legal publications and respected periodicals that explores about the escalating crime rates against women.
The findings underscore the urgent need for taking targeted action that also includes legal reforms, community awareness programs and educational initiatives. This study also sheds light on the multifaceted nature of crimes against women and contributes to the ongoing debate and offers recommendations for policy changes to address this critical issue in the Indian context.
