Copyright As Intellectual Property In The Era Of Artificial Intelligence

ABSTRACT


This article discusses the copyright issues which are faced by the legal systems around the world. With the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) the creations are being done in a short span of time without any struggle. The article highlights the need to rule the AI under Copyright law so that it should not attract the issues which create confusion and dilemma. Because if the law will not rule AI it will rule the law as the issues faced by the copyright law is very peculiar and having potential to damage the basic objective of having copyright as intellectual property. The copyright owner enjoys the benefit while possessing the copyright and even having certain special rights after assignment and transfer as well. Ownership, authorship, infringement, moral rights of the authors, fair use and other aspects are discussed in details wherever the age of AI is having implications. AI should be recognized by the law as author as well as infringer. The current legal system must be modified to address the issues.
