Air and Space law in India primarily encompasses regulations and legal frameworks related to aviation and space activities. Here are some key aspects:

Civil Aviation:

The Directorate General of Aviation in India is the regulatory authority responsible for civil aviation. It sets and enforces regulations concerning air safety, aircraft operations, pilot licensing, and air traffic management.

Aircraft ownership and registration:

India has rule governing aircraft ownership and registration. These includes requirements for aircraft maintenance, inspection and air worthiness certification.

Airports and Air traffic Management:

The Management and operation of airports as well as air traffic control services, fall under the purview of authorities including, the Airport Authority of India (AAI) and Air traffic Control (ATC).

Airlines Operations:

Airline companies in India must comply with regulations regarding the passenger safety, ticket pricing, baggage handling and more.
