ABSTRACT
Consumer protection is a fundamental aspect of any thriving democracy, ensuring the welfare and rights of its citizens. This abstract provides an insightful overview of the concept of consumer protection under the Indian Constitution, a critical component of India's legal framework aimed at safeguarding the interests of its diverse populace. This study examines the constitutional provisions and legal frameworks that have been established in India to protect and empower consumers. It explores how the Indian Constitution, as the supreme law of the land, enshrines key principles and rights that underpin consumer protection. These principles include equality before the law, the right to life and personal liberty, and access to justice, all of which are fundamental to safeguarding consumer interests.
