ABSTRACT

Consumer protection is known to be the utmost important area of law in any forum, any state or any country. Consumer protection ensures protection cum safety in all the aspects for the consumers. Thereby, consumer protection is the practice to redress a consumer whenever the goods are purchased and are known to be defective or there is some deficiency in the services provided. Consumer protection measures which is established for the consumers are basically made by the law. Such laws try to prevent the unfair trade practices which is happening around in order to distract the consumers and to gain profit or advantage from the market. These laws also provide additional profit to the general consumers which may be impacted from any product even if they are not purchasing that particular product directly. Let’s take an instance, businesses are required to disclose the detailed information by the government about the products specially in the area on the safety of public health, such as with of food. Consumer protection is basically connected with the idea which is to provide consumer rights and also forming the organizations, which in return assist the consumers to make best choices for themselves in the market and to go after the complaints against businesses. Looking after the significance of consumer protection, then we can say that it not only deals with the protection of consumers from all the frauds or unfair trade practices which is happening around but also ensures affluence of their unit, mass or country at large level. It not only ensures just the exchange of goods between the buyers and sellers but also establishes a good bond so that even the consumers could gain faith to further purchase the products in line with that good faith with of seller.
