ABSTRACT

The article focuses on the constitutional and legal protections offered to acid attack victims in India. The article also covers the judicial system in India, the effects of an acid attack on the victim. The horrible crime of acid attacks is committed against women on the basis of gender. When the number of cases rose, the judicial system began to operate. Special laws targeting offences like acid attacks were put into place as a result of the Justice J.S. Verma Committee's and the 226th Law Commission Report's recommendations.
