ABSTRACT
The conceptual framework of human rights with relation to gender justice is a vital instrument for addressing the multidimensional issues surrounding gender- based discrimination and inequalities. It is rooted in the foundational principles of universal human rights, such as dignity, equality, non-discrimination, and freedom. This framework recognizes that gender justice is an integral component of human rights and acknowledges the pervasive disparities and injustices experienced by individuals of different genders. At its core, the framework underscores the importance of upholding the inherent dignity of all human beings, regardless of their gender identity, expression, or biological sex. It emphasizes the need to challenge and eliminate stereotypes, biases, and prejudices that perpetuate gender-based discrimination, limiting opportunities and well-being for many key components of this framework include the framework highlights the fundamental principle of equality, insisting that all individuals should have equal access to opportunities, resources, and benefits, regardless of their gender. It seeks to dismantle systemic barriers that hinder gender equality in areas such as education, employment, politics, and healthcare. Human rights principles forbid any form of discrimination based on gender, ensuring that laws and policies treat everyone fairly and equally. This component is crucial in addressing issues like gender-based violence, workplace discrimination, and unequal legal rights. A key aspect of this framework is ensuring accountability for violations of gender-based human rights. This includes holding individuals, institutions, and governments responsible for their actions or lack of action in upholding gender justice. Recognizing that individuals experience multiple layers of discrimination based on factors such as race, class, and sexuality, the framework acknowledges the intersectionality of human rights and the importance of addressing these interconnected issues.
