ABSTRACT
This Article describes a Comparative study of the working of Government in two different countries namely India and The United Kingdom having different forms of Government:-
1] Constitutional Supremacy.
2] Parliamentary Supremacy.
When the law is regarded as supreme, we speak of constitutional supremacy. Any law or contract, whether it was enacted by the legislature, the executive branch, or for private purposes, is deemed to be void and unenforceable if it violates any constitutional standards. There is a concept known as "Constitutional Sovereignty" in India, where the government functions in accordance with its rules and no one is allowed to go above or beyond the Constitution.
Some parliamentarian democracies have a notion of parliamentary supremacy in their constitutions. It asserts that the legislative body has complete authority over all other branches of government, including the executive and judicial branches, and that it is not constrained by written law or precedent because it has the power to change or repeal earlier legislation. The Parliament is regarded as the supreme entity with the final say because the UK has a parliamentary system of government, and it is under that system that the government functions.
