Commercial Surrogacy: An Integration Of Socio- Legal Conscience

ABSTRACT:


A child is always seen as a gift from its parents. The term "parenthood" is viewed as a new chapter in a couple's life, although the delight of being a parent is not shared by everyone. Surrogacy has been viewed as a ray of hope in today's world of technological growth, particularly in the realm of medical technology, for couples who want to produce a child of their own genes.


Surrogacy has been a major factor in the lives of those couples who desperately want a child. Where some of the countries are gaining their popularity and their economic rise due to this rising concept. Countries like USA, GEORGIA, and COLUMBIA remains leading in terms of surrogacy. Among many countries, India is one of the traditional and ethical countries that seeks surrogacy as a blessing and a curse at the same time. While surrogacy has become a conclusive solution for the intending couples, the toxic and orthodox mentality of Indian society stands as a pitch of contradiction.


This paper aims to display a view of commercial surrogacy and its apprehension in legal and ethical vision to society. With proper explanation and understanding of regulations and illegitimacy of surrogacy laws.
