Case Commentary On Lawrence V Texas - A Win For Gay Rights, Or Is It?

ABSTRACT

The paper examines and attempts to analyse the famous Lawrence v. Texas decision, which is known as a win for homosexual rights movements. The paper begins by outlining the pertinent facts, then moves on to discuss any legal issues presented before concluding with a succinct explanation of the ruling. The research evaluates Justice Kennedy's "likeness" of homosexuals and heterosexuals’ argument, and its implications compare domestic law to international law and considers the possibility of domestication of LGBT rights.
