Case Analysis: Sanjay Dutt v. State of Maharashtra

Introduction


The trial of those accused in 1993 Bomb Blasts of Bombay is the longest running trial of India where the Supreme Court of India delivered the final decision after a month more than the occurrence of the blasts. The original charge sheet contained the names of a total of 189 people, while the final charge sheet contained 129 names out of which 100 were convicted by the designated court in a trial that lasted for about 15 years.
