Biotechnology Regulation In India: Navigating The Path Of Progress And Precaution

ABSTRACT

With the rapid advancement of biotechnology, the need for effective regulatory frameworks has become paramount. The aim of this research paper is to examine the regulation of biotechnology in India, including international treaties and its implementation in India, legislative regulations on biosafety, and the role of the judiciary. By analysing these aspects, the paper aims to provide insights into the current regulatory framework, identify its strengths and limitations, and propose potential improvements to ensure the safe and responsible use of biotechnology in India. Additionally, the paper seeks to emphasize the importance of collaboration among stakeholders and informed decision-making processes to address the challenges and opportunities presented by biotechnology.
