Biometric Verification For Maternity: A Prevention Technique For Child Trafficking, Abduction And Swapping

ABSTRACT

Biometrics, a scientific technology and a highly secured authentication that relies on measuring and analysing physiological and character traits of individual. This verification offers a robust and reliable method to confirm the identity of a specific person and is widely utilized in the modern security system of society. In this paper, we will evaluate the upfront requirement of biometric verification for maternity as a prevention technique for child trafficking, abduction, and swapping of children. During maternity, every mother lives in a fear of post-delivery and often question which arrived are, “is this my child?” and therefore the main contribution of this paper is to remove the doubts of the mother and proved a 100% guarantee for safeguarding techniques and avoid such swapping, abduction, and child trafficking.
