Begging An Economic Activity For The Impoverished: Should Begging Be Criminalized?

ABSTRACT


The unequal distribution wealth, the circumstances a human being is present in, are the deciding factors of their decisions. A person is not impoverished by choice by due the circumstances. Everyone yearns to be wealthy. The present anti-beggary laws are not the way forward to remove begging from the society. These laws when implemented area grave violation of fundamental rights are the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Prizing human rights and respecting others should one the important tasks of the society, looking beyond the boundaries. Governments will only change when the people change themselves. Unless we build a society that regards human beings not as means to a goal but the goal itself, we will forever remain in the deadlock of inequality, unhappiness and violence.
