Geetika Dev, Christ Academy Institute of Law

Introduction

In today's evolving labor market landscape, the explosion of contract labor contracts has created a compelling debate about social security for these workers. This study initiates a comparative analysis of labor law frameworks and policy reforms across jurisdictions. The aim is to explore the complex interplay between contract labor and social security. By examining the legal structures governing social security for contract workers, this study aims to reveal gaps, highlight challenges, and suggest possible solutions that can promote a fairer and safer work environment for this dynamic workforce segment. Ultimately, this study aims to provide insights that not only enrich the academic debate, but also help inform policy, address gaps, and shape the development of labor law in an era of changing employment dynamics.
