Shilpi Kumari, Amity Law School, Amity University, Patna

ABSTRACT

The article discusses the progress made by the Indian Constitution and legal framework towards eradicating untouchability and promoting social equality. Despite these efforts, discrimination and social segregation still exist in India. The government needs to implement more policies and programs to uplift marginalized communities and promote inclusivity. However, individuals must also challenge their own biases and prejudices to create a truly equal and just society.
