Esha Gupta & Shwetangani Raj, Christ (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR

ABSTRACT

“Many cases occur, in which it is clear, that using a reference to arbitration, the real interests of the parties will be much better satisfied than they could be by any litigation in a Court of justice.” -Lord Langdate

What is law, law is a set of rules and regulations to conduct human behavior in the Langdale society, basically for the social welfare of the society? From time immemorial, since there has been the seed of humankind on this planet, one or other humans have tried to take control over others whether in the form of village headmen or government. Laws are being implemented by these superior beings for the welfare of society. But as we can see due to globalization, there has been a huge difference in the standards of living between people. Nowadays due to the huge number of pending cases on the doors of courts, Arbitration is the method to resolve disputes much more quickly and efficiently rather than waiting for several fronts of the court's door.
