Applicability Of International Law In The World’s Most Minacious Conflict Of The 21st Century: Russia-Ukraine War

ABSTRACT

Russian invasion of Ukraine violates international humanitarian law and incurs criminal responsibility on Russia. International laws protect countries and its citizens against all forms of violence and degrading treatment. War is forbidden by law and every country should respect the laws to protect the Humanity. Russia has broken several treaties and laws which are unacceptable, unjustified and in clear violation of international laws or Geneva conventions adopted by all nations including Russia. This is a law- based research paper which provides a brief summary of international laws, Conventions and treaties relating to the Russia-Ukraine war which contains Prohibited acts, Violation of laws, Offences and Allegations made. The study concludes with judgment passed by ICJ and enforceability of international law.
