ABSTRACT
Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) are crucial in business but valuing them early in their lifecycle is challenging due to uncertainty. This leads to poor IP portfolio management. This paper analyses patent, how to valuate a patent, what are the essentials, step to determine a value and different methodologies. These are highlighted to justify the conservative filing.
