An Overview Of Right To Equality Under Article 14 Of The Constitution

ABSTRACT

Article 14 of the Indian Constitution guarantees equality before the law and equal protection of the law to all citizens of India. It prohibits discrimination based on religion, race, caste, sex, or place of birth and ensures that every individual is treated equally under the law. However, there are still challenges in achieving social and economic equality in India due to lack of awareness, legal support, corruption, and societal biases. This article explores the significance of Article 14 and the challenges faced in achieving true equality for all citizens.
