ABSTRACT
This study explored various aspects of Industrial hemp cultivation and Potential uses of cannabis in pharmaceuticals. Cannabis and its active ingredients, including cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), have shown potential as a treatment for various medical conditions, including, Chronic pain, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Glaucoma, Mental health conditions such as, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and anxiety, Substance use disorders, Insomnia, Parkinson's disease. However, it is important to note that further research is needed to fully understand the safety and efficacy of these treatments and many of these uses are still undergoing clinical trials. The main objective of this study is to discuss various methods of hemp cultivation.To find emerging issues in the field of industrial hemp, to analyze current trends of hemp in pharmaceuticals and functional foods. Industrial hemp can be used in a variety of functional foods due to its high nutritional value. The Indian government has been supportive of the cultivation of industrial hemp in recent years. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare recognizes industrial hemp as a crop with high potential. The government has also formulated policies to support the development in a sustainable manner. However, the use of cannabis plants, including hemp, remains regulated in India, as some strains of cannabis contain high levels of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the main psychoactive compound responsible for the intoxicating effects of marijuana. Empirical study is carried out and The main aim of this research is to study and discuss industrial hemp and their potential uses mainly in pharmaceutical and Functional Foods.
