Priyanshu Kalosiya, Indore Institute of Law

ABSTRACT

With the emergence of this issue in Udupi district, the wave of communal clashes, protests etc. began in whole country. Many anti-social elements tried to make this issue a base for communal clashes in order to show their supremacy over another, not even aware about the basic issues of the case and the grounds on which Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka has given the verdict. This paper aims to justify the supremacy of The Constitution of India over any other law or a religious practice, also it aims to aware the people about the ground reality of the case and its verdict, so that people can think logically and prevent themselves from getting involved in activities like communal riots.

Keywords: Hijab, Communal clashes, Equality before law, Right to freedom of religion, Secular, Essential religious practices.
