An Analysis Of Unfair Yet Legal Trade Practices According To The Competition Laws

ABSTRACT


Unfair Trade Practices are not new to the business world. They have been prevalent since the era of Post-Industrial Society when the service sector started generating more wealth than the manufacturing sector of the economy. To curtail the effects of these practices, countries have developed legislations such as the ‘Competition Laws’. Though these laws are in place, companies often resort to trade practices that seem unfair to layman but are totally legal under these laws. This essay aims to examine and analyze such unfair practices that our still prevalent in our society based on the recent and past acquisitions by multibillion companies.
