1. ABSTRACT


This topic delves into the specific reforms that have been implemented in India's criminal justice system, their intended objectives, the challenges in their implementation, and their effectiveness in reducing mass incarceration and promoting the rehabilitation of offenders. India has introduced recent criminal justice reforms, such as the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), which mark a significant change in the country's legal framework. These reforms are aimed at modernizing the criminal justice system, streamlining processes, and improving access to justice. However, their impact is complex and requires thorough analysis.
