An Analysis Of The Dignity Of Men In India

Dignity is the honor, self-respect, pride, prestige and fame of a human being or any other living being. Dignity of Human being is very much important because it helps them to be comfortable in the society, it builds an image of an individual in the society according to which the society treats them. A question to one’s dignity is raised when that individual is charged or is said to be guilty of an activity which is not accepted in society or in the eyes of the law. In, Indian society the dignity of an individual is directly related to the individual’s family, if the dignity of the individual is hampered the dignity of the family is also effected.

Law and morality can be linked very well to the enactment of dignity of human. Equality, Justice, Morals and Principles is the basic essence of ‘rule of law’. The makers of the Indian Constitution knew that how much the pride and honor an individual matter that is the reason why they introduced the word human dignity in the preamble of the Constitution of India. The Constitution gave fundamental rights to protect its citizen from exploitation against race, cast, gender and all other types of discrimination, it also protects their basic remedies, right to practice any religion, right to freedom and many more. Fundamental Rights safeguards human dignity as it keeps it preserved and protected.
