Amazon-Future Tussle: A Look At Cci’s Awaited Intervention

ABSTRACT

On 17th December, 2021 India witnessed a rare and one of its kind move by its anti-trust watchdog, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) when it revisited its own order and kept it in abeyance until re-inquiry. This order made the much-publicized ongoing legal battle between the US e-commerce giant Amazon and India’s prominent conglomerate Future Group undergo a dramatic and unprecedented turn of events, which has been hitting the headlines ever since October, 2020.
