ABSTRACT


To successfully address the legal complexities of space exploration and utilisation in India, one must possess a solid understanding of space law through comprehensive education and study. In light of India’s emergence as a significant player in the global space industry, it is imperative to establish robust legislative frameworks. This article explores the historical progression, current state, challenges, and future prospects of space law research and teaching in India. This study analyses the significant impact of organisations, projects, and collaborative initiatives on the development of India’s space law policy. By fostering innovative research, fostering collaboration across several disciplines, and implementing proactive policy measures, India may enhance its capacity to address emerging legal issues and make a significant impact on global space governance. This abstract provides a comprehensive insight into the crucial importance of space law research and education in India. It emphasises the strategic value of these endeavours in advancing legal knowledge and achieving national objectives in the fast-growing domain of space operations.
