ABSTRACT
Rape is considered an international dismal public health problem affecting millions around the world. Sexual assault can have long-term severe effects on both physical and mental health; reproduce health problems; and even overall well-being. Rape is always an unrepaired issue because its gravity is still too high, given the uninitiated administrative actions and support structures in place. Existing administrative mechanisms reveal the lack of legality in legal aspects and coordination difference among social organizations, hospitals, and police. Sufficient scopes exist for change - from the creation of rape victim centers to training police forces and medical professionals to handle special circumstances and a victim-centered process to ensure timely support and justice for victims, as determined in that research paper. This article focuses on legal reforms along with proper training of first responders and creating awareness among the public as being important enough to help try and avoid the crime of rape and improve institutional responses towards sexual crimes and also discusses the number of rape cases registered in every state and union territory, offenders relation to the victims and the age group of the victims.
