Education is an important factor for development of an individual, a society and a nation and the far-wide world. Social mobility is not just the ability to develop and go to another level of society, but also shows the opportunities available to a person, a community and a nation. From the study conducted among 203 respondents through an empirical study, it is evident that many of the respondents are well-aware of the importance of education, its importance in rural development and social mobility. Education should be available and accessible to everyone and the government being the major stakeholder responsible for education in rural areas needs to take various steps to realise education’s importance in rural areas for social mobility. Educational institutions need to be set up in all villages for increasing student attendance and accessibility and facilities for higher education need to be set up to increase accessibility and availability. It is concluded that people know the importance of education in their society and it is the responsibility of the governments to take care of the needs of the people.
