A Legal And Social Perspective On Abortion

ABSTRACT:

Abortion is a highly controversial and polarising topic in society today, with many competing perspectives and divided opinion. This paper examines the implications of abortion from a legal and social standpoint, focusing on the ethical considerations, legality, medical safety, and psychosocial effects of the procedure. This paper will examine the legal ramifications of abortion as well as the restrictions and regulations through a comparative analysis of US and India. In addition, it will discuss the perspectives of abortion in the medical community, religious organisations, and the general public. The paper will also explore the various opinions and arguments presented in the literature regarding the existing studies conducted on the subject. The paper will conclude by discussing the standpoints of the right to life and women's freedom of choice.
