ABSTRACT

The Indian oil & gas industry is an integral part of the country's economy, providing employment and fueling growth. However, disputes within the industry can be complex and challenging to resolve, requiring effective dispute settlement mechanisms. This research paper delves into the legal framework for dispute settlement in the Indian oil & gas industry, examining the laws, regulations, and government agencies that govern the industry and the role they play in dispute resolution. The paper also explores case studies of disputes within the industry and evaluates the effectiveness of various dispute settlement methods, such as negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation. By analyzing the pros and cons of each mechanism, the paper aims to provide insights into how dispute resolution in the Indian oil & gas industry can be improved.
