Fardeen Khan, School of Law, Christ (Deemed to be University)

ABSTRACT

Homicide is the killing of another person. A lot of crimes fall under homicide such as murder, death due to an accident or maybe death due to self-defence. All these crimes bring out one common aspect, which is the killing of another. This paper seeks to critically analyze and understand the definition of murder and its difference from homicide and also the exceptions to a society where homicide does not amount to murder. This as such is a brief attempt to root around and look into the aspects surrounding the concept of murder in India.
